City Stumbles Sonnet
A glimpse of London life: expensive drinks, lost keys, and a general sense of where am I?
Oat milk silk blouse A swipe, The oyster’s call Toast charred, leave the hall Saw my hinge date with his spouse A pint, rosé, margarita’s rim My trio, dinner’s quick bite An arm and a leg, cold city light The sea’s thin whisper, I dream Park run – me over then My ancient iPhone, I hide it please Smog smothers I’m not alone Avoid the alley, who’s big ben? Where did I leave my keys? This city slog, a vast unknown

although it seems like a personal extract, its themes are relatable, very touching :))
