sorry the post today is a little late! <3
Midnight
Garden grime, vodka’s sickly sweet my teenage haze —vacant glassy stare jello shivers, unsteady feet take off my skin in humid air home’s a whisper, some distant hum where are my girls, distorted scene sweat drip-drips like wax, sensations come my new blouse warps, pale fabric lean booze, beer soaked whispers, loose thread one more sip and the world’s a dream, these melting halls inside my head please leave me now —let numbness gleam.
This poem delves into the complex emotions and experiences often faced during adolescence. It's a reflection on the ways we sometimes try to cope with insecurities, and the potential pitfalls of those choices. I’d love to know your thoughts on this poem. Also, if you could give some advice to your younger self what would you say?
Thanks for reading,

Definitely sounds like what I can remember from adolescence 😅.
I dug the word choices and the disjointed but harmonious flow of it all.
"One more sip and the world's a dream" Very concise and relatable Jas! Good job:)
