sunflower, seeded bread soak up vegetable vomit soup gulp it down, run to the grass smell the sunflowers and daisies bees buzz I lie down in the gravel pebbles stepping stone one two, fall down the hill reach the cusp feel the butterfly tickle your cheek kiss a boy a girl full cup of water, egg and spoon race for the end, into mummy’s arms dress floaty pink cotton stained happiness, skip home down country path shoulders burnt, peeling skin sun tan on my plastered knees
There's a certain freedom in these early memories. Can you recall a specific smell, taste, or feeling from your childhood that stays with you?
Thank you for taking the time to read this poem,
catch you later,
